Dangriga
Dangriga is a town on the central Belize coast. Founded in 1823 by black refugees from Honduras, it developed as a port and trading centre for bananas, timber, coconuts, and fish. From Dangriga you can visit the Mayan Stone Maiden and the Cockscomb Basin Wilderness Sanctuary, which occupies about 150 square miles and has a large number of jaguars. Two different shore excursions are the Mayan Stone Maiden and the Cockscomb Basin Wilderness Sanctuary.
