This 8-day Fijian vacation takes you to a family-friendly resort on the island of Vanua Levu. It features deluxe accommodations and shared tours.

Your journey takes you to the island of Vanua Levu and the waters of Savusavu Bay, where you’ll find Jean Michel Cousteau Resort, your island home for the next 7 nights and arguably the finest 5-star eco-resort in the Fijian islands. Stay in one of 25 pristine bures and enjoy the pampering accommodations, as well as several programs designed for kids. Unwind in the on-site spa, enjoy the best of Fijian and Asian-inspired cooking at the al fresco restaurant, and know that your kids will have plenty of games and programs to keep them occupied at the Bula Club. Children under six will also have the special attention of an on-site nanny.

You’ll have six days at leisure at Jean Michel Cousteau Resort. Enjoy off-site excursions each day, as well as snorkelling trips with the resident marine biologist. Take advantage of the experts at the Cousteau Dive Centre to head out into the Namena Marine Reserve and explore the underwater worlds. Ride the glass bottom boat through Savusavu Bay, go fishing for tuna, wahoo, and marlin, or head to a mainland Fijian village to learn about legends and cultural traditions. You can even book a picnic on Naviavia Private Island, where you can have the powdery white-sand beaches to yourself.

At the end of your stay, connect back to the airport for onward travels.

  • Savusavu

Often referred to as Fiji’s Hidden Paradise, Savusavu appears to be much the same as it was 30 years ago. Founded before the Deed of Cession, Savusavu was originally established as a center for sailing ships trading in sandalwood, beche-de-mer and copra. Savusavu continues to be a copra town with a processing mill in Balaga Bay at the very bottom of Savusavu Bay. Between the creek and main street is the Copra Shed which was built in 1917 by the Savusavu Planter’s Co-operative Association and later taken over by Morris Hedstrom as a trading store. The renovated Copra Shed still exists today as the main facility for the Copra Shed Marina.
