WHAT'S NEW AT XVB?

XV BEACON KNOWS – 3 NEW THINGS THAT WILL HELP REACH YOUR FITNESS GOALS!

A Head Start for Summer – XV Beacon also encourages visitors to stay on track with their fitness goals and prep for summers on the beach with upgrades to its 24-hour fitness room. With the addition of a Peloton ®, guests can ride their way through motivated spin classes with their favorite Peloton instructors. A new Hydrow will transport guests to the Charles River and beyond with its immersive technology. After an invigorating workout, visitors can head back to their guestrooms to hydrate with the hotel’s newest in-room thirst-quenching amenity – everybody water, a new women-owned and Boston-based brand offering premium water in 16.9 oz. cartons. Everybody water supports the clean water projects for those around the world that don’t have access.

In a road bicycle race, the peloton is the main group or pack of riders. Riders in a group save energy by riding close to other riders. The reduction in drag is dramatic; riding in the middle of a well-developed group, drag can be reduced to as little as 5%!

Every aspect of Hydrow is engineered by rowing experts to elevate your experience. From computer-controlled resistance to revolutionary Live Outdoor Reality™ technology, Hydrow delivers an effective and enjoyable workout that brings the river home to you.

No matter what your lifestyle is – we always love to remind our guests to stay hydrated while exercising and/or exploring historic Boston! Starting in March 2020, we will be including a new Everybody Water selection to our private bar. Everybody Water is a women-owned Boston based business selling premium water in a 16.9 oz. recyclable carton. The lightweight Everybody Water bottle is mainly made from trees from certified forests by the FSC and the cap is derived from sugarcane. We are proud to partner with this local sustainable brand to support clean water projects for people around the world who have limited access to clean water!

XV Beacon Gives Back

HERE AT XV BEACON, WE TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN SUPPORTING OUR NON-PROFITS ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE LOCAL AS WELL AS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. WE ARE INCREDIBLY PROUD TO SHARE THAT DURING THE PAST YEAR WE HAVE BEEN AN IMPORTANT SOURCE OF FINANCIAL AND SOCIAL SUPPORT TO MANY CHARITABLE EVENTS NATIONWIDE.

As we strive to care and do the best for our guests, employees, and the community, it is our responsibility to make sure all donations were counted and provided to the people and community that were in need of our tremendous support. By ranking, we had mainly donated to human services; health care; education; animal welfare; art, culture & humanities; and community improvement causes.

Within the past year, there were 62 luxury accommodations donated which were equated to $$36,650 in value.

Earlier this year XV Beacon donated a total of 80 pounds of linen sheets and towels to the Animal Rescue League and plan to continue this new tradition in years to come.

We also participate in Clean the World soap program, where we donate all of our unused bath amenity products on a quarterly basis. To date, we have donated 329 bars of soap, which equates to 36 total pounds of donated soap and 42 pounds of collected plastic.

In addition, we are Boston’s most pet-friendly hotel and find it important to give back to the four pawed community on a monthly basis. 50% of the proceeds from our pet fee have been distributed to a variety of charities, amounting to $4,500 in total revenue year to date. Some of the charities we have donated to:

  • Animal Rescue League of Boston
  • ASPCA
  • Human Society of the United States
  • World Wildlife fund
Best Friends Animal Society

…just to name a few

Contributing to the non-profits organizations makes us feel united and proud and we promise to always continue to support and take care of the communities and people who seek help!
