The Brando is a unique luxury resort on French Polynesia's breathtaking private island of Tetiaroa, an atoll composed of a dozen small islands surrounding a sparkling lagoon 30 miles north of Tahiti. The Brando offers carefree luxury in pristine nature. With access to the island by private plane, the resort features thirty-five (35) villas and one (1) Teremoana Residence on white-sand beaches frequented by sea turtles and exotic birds.

The resort reflects ancient Polynesian cultures and each beachfront villa has its own private beach area and plunge pool. Our all-inclusive resort offers three restaurants showcasing Polynesian, French and Japanese cuisine, a spa overlooking a lily pond, an organic garden and orchard, a pool, a lagoon view bar, a beach bar, tennis courts and library. From your villa’s gracious gardens and exquisite scenery to the timbered walls of your home away from home, you’ll always feel close to nature — without sacrificing comfort. The 22 villas along Turtle Beach and 13 villas along Mermaid Bay, each with a private pool, have been designed to reflect Polynesian lifestyle and traditions.

Also on Mermaid Bay is the sprawling, three-bedroom Teremoana Residence. The ultimate in luxury and privacy, it sits on 1.25 acres of pristine white sand beach and boasts 3,000 square feet each of elegant indoor and outdoor living space. The three bedrooms are ensuite and feature private, furnished terraces. The Teremoana Residence is available iwth a Butler or with a Private Service plan that includes butler, chef, houskeeper and maitre d'.

Every villa is on a white sand beach, has its own outdoor eating and private beach area, its own private pool, soft, cozy furnishings, large windows that let you indulge in the sun, the breeze and lagoon views, and modern conveniences such as a media room. And while enjoying the villa you will have the satisfaction of knowing that everything that surrounds you has been designed around clean, renewable energy sources.

A walk-through dressing area adjoins your spacious bedroom, where a king-size bed invites you to relax and gaze through a large window at the lagoon, visible through a screen of pandanus, miki miki, and coconut trees. Our only Three-bedroom Beachfront villa provides an opportunity for friends or a larger family to stay together in an exclusive space with incredible lagoon and beach views.

This one-of-a-kind villa has all the features of the two-bedroom villa but on an even larger, more luxurious scale. The third bedroom is separated from the main villa by an above-ground walkway, and includes its own dressing room, bathroom, and outdoor bathtub. This third bedroom's location is ideal for grandparents or couples wanting a bit more privacy. We’ve also upgraded the furnishings of your private outdoor space, which includes an expanded deck and a 236 square feet pool.

Teremoana 3 1/2 Bedroom Pool Residence

The Teremoana Residence is the epitome of understated island luxury. Situated on 1.25 acres of private beach, it features three ensuite bathrooms with private terraces, living room, fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, media area, laundry room and over 3,000 feet of outdoor living space, including a large plunge pool. Like all of The Brando's accommodations, the design is understated Polynesian, and both uses and reflects the surrounding nature.

Teremoana features 3 full bedrooms & bathrooms as well as a smaller bedroom and bath perfectly designed for a nanny, private security or personal chef.

Guests of the Teremoana Residence may choose a plan that includes a butler only, or a full Private Services plan that includes a butler and chef on call 24/7.

This immensely private residence has an exclusive beach for private dining or activities and guests can be picked up at their private beach for any island activities or tours, in order to avoid passing through the resort's main areas.

Beachcomber Cafe

Beachcomber Cafe offers exceptional lagoon and ocean views, whether you decide to dine indoors or on the beach. Dishes include a varied menu of Polynesian-inspired dishes alongside classic French cuisine.
At this restaurant and our other dining venues you will enjoy the freshest of ingredients. Every day, our chef selects for the day’s dishes organically grown fruits and vegetables from our own gardens and orchards. These may include mangos, papayas, tomatoes, green beans, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, avocados, breadfruit, bananas, limes, watermelon and more. And our fish and shellfish are from Polynesian waters.
Les Mutinés

For a more intimate dinner experience, head to Les Mutinés. Shaped like the hull of a ship to evoke the story of the Mutiny on the Bounty, the interior is all subdued elegance, with sable-colored glass chandeliers and gossamer curtains between the tables. Chef Pierre Lecorne and his expert team offer a gastronomic menu of French specialties with a Polynesian influence.

This restaurant includes an extensive, world-class wine cellar in a carefully climate-controlled glass enclosure.

Te Manu

Te Manu Bar

Located on the second floor, this open-air bar features spectacular views of the lagoon, distant motus and sunsets. In addition to the main lounge, there are several private tree-level seating areas that can be reached on walkways through the palm canopy.

Bob's Bar

This is a very casual setting on the beach for conversation and making friends. The bar is named for Marlon Brando’s factotum (assistant) on film sets. At the end of many days, Brando and Bob would wind up at the bar for long talks. Eventually the bar at Marlon Brando’s lodge, Tetiaora Village, became known as Bob’s Bar. Our Bob’s Bar has retained the original bar from the lodge Brando built. We have kept the name in honor of Bob and all others who have worked, and continue to work, anonymously to bring Brando’s visions to life.

Vegan option

A vegan menu, designed by the renowned Chef Kelvin Au-Ieong, is also available at Les Mutinés fine dining restaurant, the Beachcomber Café, and for in-room dining.

Nami

The Brando takes dinner enjoyment to a new level with Nami. Located inside the Beachcomber Café, Nami seats just eight guests and offers a gastronomic menu with meat specialties (“Riku”) and seafood (“Umi”), Japanese desserts and a fine selection of sake and beers from Japan.

Chef Kaito Nakamura joined The Brando in 2018, with an impressive resume that includes working as a sushi chef and sous-chef in Tokyo and Paris, and two of Tahiti’s top hotels.
