Whether you envision Robin Hood or Catniss Everdeen with a bow at the ready, The Ranch provides an accessible and exciting opportunity to learn archery or hone your bow skills. Our Rod & Gun guides provide extensive safety and technique instruction with fully adjustable compound bows. Guests start by practicing on traditional bullseye targets while receiving personalized instruction. Once you're hitting the mark, move through the secluded hillside range, where you'll find an exciting and intricate 3-D archery course that can put your skills to the test. A selection of near-to-life-sized foam animals are situated along a short, easy hiking trail. Walking the trail allows you to shoot at different angles and target positions to recreate an authentic Montana bow-hunting experience.

Fishing
Whether you've dreamed of Montana fly fishing for years or you've yet to cast for the first time, you will not be disappointed by the opportunities on our namesake Rock Creek. Four miles of private access and pristine river frontage on this freestone mountain stream boasts seven species of fish: Westslope cutthroat, rainbow, cut-bow, brown, brookie, bull and the Rocky Mountain whitefish. Rock Creek is famous for its salmonfly hatch starting in late May and lasting into July, as well as additional hatches including mayflies, golden stoneflies and caddis fly. Our licensed and trained fishing guides are excited to share their professional expertise and personal passion for fishing. They go above and beyond to ensure that your fishing experience is both enjoyable and successful.
Game Room
The Silver Dollar Saloon takes its name from the Silver Dollars embedded in the bar, which are seen as a good luck charm. Located near the Granite Lodge, the Silver Dollar Saloon opens its doors nightly for merriment and activities for all ages. As the evening entertainment hub of The Ranch, it is equal parts cowboy saloon and luxe club. The high ceilings, large floor plan and curated decor also make this an ideal space for private functions and special events, such as yoga classes and live music. -

Hiking Trails
Guests love the thrill of riding Montana on horseback, on a bike or in a stagecoach, but we also recommend exploring our diverse eco-system on foot. Follow the Eastern valley through pine forests and rhyolite outcroppings to summit Paradise Peak. Hike the Western hills through wildflower meadows to Mary Beth's Peak and Top of the World. The trails along Rock Creek are ideal for a short stroll, while avid backpackers can appreciate The Ranch's 20+ miles of trails as an advanced hiking resort. Skeet Shooting
Our outstanding Trap and Skeet course is a quick-trigger challenge game designed to test the reflexes of the shooter. Skeet shooting is a fast game consisting of nine fixed shooting stations and two fixed traps, or target throwers. The shooter rotates through the stations shooting singles and doubles for a total of twenty-five shots per game.Our trap shoot consists of five shooting lanes with varying degrees of difficulty and one fixed trap, or target thrower. The trap oscillates to create new challenging positions between shots. Each new shot varies in angle and height. Participants in a "singles" game of trap will shoot five targets from each of the five stations. In a "doubles" game the competitor shoots at five pairs and ten targets at each of the five stations.

Bicycle Rentals
Bicycles are provided on a complimentary basis for each guest for their use while at The Ranch. In addition to this, mountain biking is available as an activity to explore the multitude of trails on our 6,600 acres. This can be booked through the Rod & Gun Club.

Boardroom Meeting Space
The Library is dedicated to brunches, meetings or small receptions. Comforts include upholstered chairs, a flat-screen TV, a wrap-around table and bookshelves filled with Western classics. This space also works well in combination with the Great Hall for a bar/lounge area or a kids dining room during a reception. For groups of more than 30 guests, the Buckle Barn is available with AV.
Bocce Ball Court
Lawn games such as bocce and horseshoes are available at The Ranch for guest use. Often these are set up at the Buckle Barn or Blue Canteen for weekly Ranch events in the evening.
Bowling Alley
The Silver Dollar Saloon hosts a four lane bowling alley for guests' use. This is very popular amongst guests after dinner.
Breakfast Room
Breakfast can be enjoyed daily in the Dining Room located in the Granite Lodge. Breakfast is also served seasonally in the Blue Canteen located at Camp Roosevelt. A breakfast bar is presented each morning in the Great Room of the Granite Lodge which serves coffees, teas, and light pastries.
Car and Bicycle Rental
Our team of Guest Managers are happy to assist with local car rentals for an additional cost. Bicycles are available for each guest to use during their stay on a complimentary basis, in addition to mountain biking excursions which can be booked with one of our guides.

From the 2,700 sq. ft. Great Hall to the surrounding flagstone and manicured lawn, the Buckle Barn is our most versatile year-round venue. Bathed in natural light and built with reclaimed barn wood and stamped ceiling tiles, our event barn can be booked for private breakfasts, luncheons, dinners and receptions. Shooting Centre
Shooting is a Montana tradition with deep roots in our history. It is also a rich part of modern identity to a large group of responsible multi-generational sportspeople. The Ranch at Rock Creek offers an unmatchable multi-faceted set of ranges and activities that experts and novices alike find challenging and enjoyable. Our guides train each guest on safety guidelines, proper handling and techniques with all equipment to ensure a safe experience for everyone. Through private instruction and a controlled environment, guests can develop new abilities while achieving a sense of accomplishment. Our program is designed to teach skills and safety to first-time shooters while giving experienced marksmen an opportunity to test their abilities. Only 35 minutes from The Ranch, Discovery Ski Area boasts the shortest lift lines in Montana. The mountain has three faces and 67 trails, including bunny hills, moguls, groomed trails and double-black diamond runs. Recently, Warren Miller filmed part of his 2014 film, No Turning Back, at Discovery Ski Area on these expert runs.

Start with a traditional indoor flow or move beyond the four corners of the mat and experience the serenity of yoga in a stunning outdoor setting. During the winter, we offer complimentary weekly group sessions and Snowga sessions.
