CỦ CHI TUNNELS

North of Ho Chi Minh City are the historical Củ Chi Tunnels. Initially built in the 1940’s for the fight against French colonisation, they were needed again in the 1960’s and 70’s during the American war. Today, Củ Chi tunnels have been widened to allow easier access for visitors from around the world. The exciting journey begins at the Bến Đình or Bến Dược tunnel sections. Here you can imagine what it was like to be a guerrilla, complete with Russian carbine rifles and AK 47’s.
