Spacious room located in the Gulf Tower in the 9th-15th floor, offering old world charm on Mediterranean influences in the decor. Sink into luxury in a four poster king bed with pillow top mattress and goose down pillows. Amenities include marble bathrooms with views of the Gulf of Mexico, twice daily maid service, in room movies, and room safe. The resort has a $32 per day resort fee which includes in room high speed internet access, public area wireless high speed internet access, local calls, 800 access calls, newspaper delivery to room, in room-coffee, beach chairs, beach towels and access to the fitness center. LaPlaya’s BALEEN spills out through grand doors to a terrace with tables overlooking the sweeping beach with a few more cocktail tables right in the sand. Palate-pleasing options at BALEEN include a breakfast menu with a Gulf Coast twist on traditional favorites, such as the crab and avocado eggs Benedict and frittata with lobster, asparagus and brie topped with fresh herbs and crème fraiche.

The lunch menu features gourmet sandwiches and salads such as the chopped BLT salad with sugar herb roasted bacon, chopped tomato, jalapeno ranch and sherry bacon dressing.

From Fort Myers Airport (Southwest Florida International Airport): Take I-75 South to Exit 111. Turn right off the Interstate onto Immokalee Road and head West. Cross U.S. 41. Road will change names to 111th Avenue and then to Bluebill. Follow to the end and turn left at the stop sign (just after the bridge) onto Gulf Shore Drive. LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort will be on the right.

From Naples Airport: Turn left onto Airport-Pulling Road. Continue North, then turn left onto onto Vanderbilt Beach Road and head West. Cross U.S. 41. Follow road until it ends. Turn right at the stop sign onto Gulf Shore Drive. LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort will be on the left.
