Local Area Attractions

A Day in Napa

Spend a Day in Napa Valley-The Wine Country: With its magnificent scenery, renowned vineyards and world famous restaurants, there is something here to delight everyone. Only 90 minutes from the Ritz Carlton San Francisco, the wine country is the most popular out of town destination. Many guests find the drive over the Golden Gate Bridge a highlight—but those who wish to indulge in the finest food and wine will have the concierge book them a private car and guide to make the most of their day.

Eating LIke a Local

I would suggest repeat visitors head out to the neighborhoods and dine where the locals go.

One of my favorite restaurants in the City is Garibaldi —in the swank Presidio Heights neighborhood—this classic California Mediterranean restaurant has been the meeting point of the city’s elite for over 30 years. The Lamb Tenderloin is one of my favorite dishes and the ambiance is chic and stylish!

The trendy foodie set of the Marina district flock to A16 for the most authentic Naples Style Italian cuisine. I am crazy about their wood fire oven mushroom pizza and the wine list from Italy is phenomenal!

One of the most charming restaurants I know that is off the tourist radar –is surprisingly just steps away from Fisherman’s Wharf. Albona features the food of Istria---The Croatian cuisine is delicious and the ambiance is quaint and European. The pan-fried potato gnocchi in a sirloin sauce is the stuff of dreams!

JCB Tasting Lounge

The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco has joined forces with legendary winemaker Jean-Charles Boisset to unveil a new luxury wine tasting lounge in the lobby of the city landmark hotel.
