Our very first cruise, 35 years ago was with Carnival. Things have changed ... A LOT!!! No more frills, extra $$$ for a steak, entertainment was nice but wsithout the same quality I remember.

Great short get away get meet a lot of exciting people and excellent service. We would take this trip again though a bit short.

There were 38 people in our group, 30 of them said that it was nice experience but only because of the people in our group. The food was terrible in the buffet, and the dinning room. The food in the dining room had no presentation to it or flavor. One other big complaint about the food it was never hot, the eggs or coffee in the morning to the steak or pasta in the evening. Everyone did seem to enjoy the hamburgers by the pool. They have a lot of restrictions on the beverage package that I’ve not experienced on other cruise lines “eg” my wife ordered a bloody Maria with gold tequila and was told by one bar that it could only be made with silver tequila, yet went to another bar and they made it. I never met our room steward, we called the steward one day to have the coach made into a bed because our granddaughter was going to sleep in our cabin, the steward was on a break but they insured us it would be done by 6:00 pm. It never happened! I could go on into more detail but I you get the senses.

Overall despite the cool weather and not being able to sit outside much it was a fun trip. I highly recommend the 10 best city tour. The glass factory was amazing as was the tour guide.
