Crowded sea days, very musty smelling hallway, crowded elevators, kids club is dated, poor set upRECOMMENDED
YesKids club needs to be re done. It is very boring compared to shops with newer updates. Staff is great but kids found it disappointing. Elevators and sea days felt very crowded with little if any room at pools. Deck 10 hallway starboard side smelled very musty, they really should address that. Overall wonderful ship. The staff is always so wonderful and really makes the cruise special. We really enjoyed having two connecting balcony rooms for a family of 5! Lots of activities and amenities to keep the whole family happy.

too few pools, especially for adults onlyRECOMMENDED
NoIf it weren't for Central Park and Vintages wine bar, we wouldn't have kept our sanity. The food and staff, all the staff, all over the ship, were top notch! But too many people for too few pools. It would have been nice to have a pool in the solarium to keep cool. More healthy activities would be nice. I did take advantage of the running track and line dancing and flash dance. Having to choose one excursion each day, one day in each port, isn't enough to justify the cost and time in getting there. I'm not sure I'm cut out for this type of cruise.

Starting to show its age with frequent public toilet backups, casino smoke permeates the aft stairwells on all floorsRECOMMENDED
YesHarmony was a wonderful ship to go on in 2020, but she's showing her age on our cruise last week. She had multiple instances of the public urinals backing up and overflowing (yuck) on multiple floors, which seems to be a common statement on recent reviews. The some of the hallways had a mildew smell, which bothered my allergies quite a bit. The worst part is the casino smoke smell filled the aft stairwell up to the 11th floor - even when the casino was closed. I hope they clean her up soon as she's a wonderful ship.

Wonderfully responsive staff. Good food in Windjammer and Main dining rooms. Whether in the dining room or the Windjammer, all wait staff were amazing. Lots to do on the ship but able to hang out in your room and not be interrupted.CONS
We chose My Time dining but should have chosen at specific time in advance to avoid having to come nightly at 5:15 to learn when or where a vacant table for 6 was available. On night 6 when we shared this problem with a Main dining room supervisor (not the correct title), he was disturbed and promised us a space the following night in his Deck 5 dining room the following night if we came at 5:15 directly to his dining room. There were plenty of vacant tables that evening so he was able to accommodate us rather quickly.RECOMMENDED
YesTake the warning that the Royal Theatre might require a sweater very seriously. Wearing long sleeves, long pants or skirt, and a jacket or sweater will enhance your comfort during the performance if the AC is on high to freeze out lots of humidity. Of the two performances I saw, I enjoyed "Grease" more than "Columbus".

YesBeautiful Ship with lots to do. Great kid friendly atmosphere. Entertainment was plentiful and great! The stafff was extremely friendly and helpful. For the amount of people, surprisingly the decks weren't over crowded and pool chairs were not a hassle. The elevators could get tricky close to dining times or when returning from ports. Getting into the shows was a challenge early on and the APP did not work for reservations. However, this problem eased up about mid-way through the trip and we were able to get in the shows without reservations. Boarding the ship was a breeze - disembarking as well. No long lines/waiting. Walked right through and on to the ship. Same getting off. No mass confusion - - VERY organized! Overall, loved the ship and would definitely recommend.

YesThis was our first Royal cruise, and I was impressed to say the least. The food was much better than I anticipated. Every night there was something special we all loved. Our favorites were the escargot, the French onion soup, the Carna Asada, and wow don’t sleep on the spaghetti!! Talk about a shocker at how good it was. The shop offered a lot to do. We made reservations for all the shows, and none of them disappointed. I want to share how great our experience was in Honduras. We booked an excursion called Turquoise Bay VIP. While it is a modest $200, it was well worth it. I was expected a buffet for lunch, we were treated to a 3 star shrimp cocktail, and a surf and turf featuring steak and lobster. And wow it was really good!! Talk about a great excursion on the beach. Royal put on great shows. Grease was amazing. One night we spurged an ate at Chopps grill. It ended up being one of the best steaks I ever had. The appetizers are shareable but everyone gets one, so we all got to taste quite a few and they all were amazing. Lastly, my 5 year old absolutely loved the Kids Club!! Some people were complaining about disembarking, but we didn’t have a problem. We walked right off. I would definitely do a royal again. It surprised me how good it was.

Galveston ...yuck! Shuttle communication before cruise poorRECOMMENDED
YesPrior to arranging airflights, and shuttle from Houston airport to Galveston cruise dock the info re shuttle times, locations and cost was POOR. Even our cruise director couldn't find out departure times from Houston airport, nor departure time from cruise dock when the cruise ended. This forced us to book a flight home a lot later than we had to and sit around the Houston airport for about 4 hours unnecessarily .... because we weren't sure when the shuttle to the airport would leave and couldn't find out online. This should be VERY easy for a consumer to find but it was not. Poor job of communicating this. The shuttles themselves were fine. Five stars except for this.

YesWe loved the ship in November and this recent cruise in March 2024! Our disappointment in the cruise line changing our itineraries for our group parties. We were approximately 600 + in our group, events were planned, costumes purchased and show’s scheduled on the ship and RC decided to change a date of one of our parties. Some of Us were overbooked and had to scramble to rearrange our events or miss one. The same thing happened in November on another large group cruising (900+) event by changing our parties to a later time. We were angry changing our events to 11 pm at night even the night before getting back to Galveston. Some of us were so disappointed that we almost cancelled this recent cruise. We were always treated extremely well by your cruise line that’s why we chose Royal Caribbean to cruise with. We are the customers and we should be treated with respect.

Required pre booking of on ship events/shows. Need better final exit planRECOMMENDED
YesWe enjoyed our cruise and Cozumel did not disappoint, the North Shore is beautiful. We did encounter some rough seas but no one can control the weather. We were unaware of the requirement to book shows and some events onboard, so we missed most of them, some were postponed due to the weather. The ship is gigantic there are many venues to gather/shop/dine, though some require additional payment for food purchases. We booked through Travelmachine.com and Lindsay was very helpful with our booking. The Ryan Foret Tradition performed onboard and they are excellent. When disembarking there was a huge line circling through the ship to exit. It moved along at a good pace, but there shop have been ship staff assisting at the stairs on deck #5 as people were coming down, that was not a very good situation, can be done better. After working our way through the line the rest of disembarking went great, though make sure you know which shuttle to go to for transportation back to your parking area. We had to walk around and ask others for directions. One other thing we paid our gratuity up front, not sure why the staff that takes care of the cabins feels the need to solicit additional tips. We tip very well and appreciate good service, yet being given a envelope to put funds in is just begging. Also the bedding is okay could be more comfortable. All in all was a nice trip and we found the dining room and buffet food to be very good.

Adult Only Solarium area was very nice.CONS
Adult Only Solarium should have 18 years old for minimum age. Hot tubs were over crowded with young teenagers. There was NO adult only pool.RECOMMENDED
YesShip was very nice and very large with tons of activities for young families. If looking for more of an adult cruise, I would recommend a different or smaller ship. Harmony of the Seas is set-up for young families to keep busy and have lots of onboard activities. I don't think the value is here if not utilizing all the amenities like the water slides, rock wall, flow rider, etc. The Boardwalk is a fun place, but very busy. Central Park was a very nice and quiet getaway. The new water theatre performances are really good- great addition! However, both theatre shows (Grease and Columbus) both had technical difficulties and were delayed. Loved the bionic bar and was very easy to use our drink packages here even the standard (non-alcoholic) package. The food was good, but not quite what I remember on other RC cruises (pre-COVID), especially the desserts. RC could improve upon the accommodation for food allergies. It seemed as though anytime I asked for a gluten free piece of bread or dessert, the staff had to go to a vault in the center of the ship and finally came back with it 10-12 minutes later. These items should be readily available and specific area for these. Their "gluten free" section in the Windjammer was 3 items- rice, steamed vegetables or mashed potatoes, and a brown "stew". Best options were typically found in the dining room or the Solarium Bistro. Overall the itinerary was very good. St. Thomas was the best and unfortunately, the island we were docked for the shortest time. St. Maarten "Ultimate Island Tour & Lagoon Cruise" was a little disappointing. The lagoon cruise was the (shortest), but best part. The island tour was on a large tour bus that only stopped once at a small market area with very "unpleasant" bathrooms. The bus was old and needed brake repairs. The squeaking brakes were so loud through stop and go, rush hour traffic the tour guide could not even be heard over the speaker. A middle age couple that was on our St. Thomas excursion relayed their (different) island shuttle tour was disappointing as well. St. Thomas was beautiful! Wish our day on St. Thomas was longer instead of on St. Maarten where there is not as much to do. We did the Honeymoon Beach Cycle Boat on St. Thomas which was a blast and the beach was gorgeous and sea turtles were spotted swimming in the water. Coco Cay was very nice and tons of activities for young families. Food on the island was mediocre. It has been 5 years since my last cruise and overall we had a great time and the cruise ship was beautiful. I am sure the cruise industry has had a very difficult time post-COVID and it appears they are working very hard to make cruising a great experience once again.

Everyone in our party loved this itinerary and we all give it two thumbs up. YesMy wife and I wanted to celebrate our 25th anniversary by going on a cruise. The last time we were on one which was our first was when we got married. Suffice it to say, we were looking forward to this 7 day cruise and it didn't disappoint. There were a couple of snafus like when we couldn't dock at one port of call but that was certainly not the company's fault. Even with that, we still had a great time because there was so much to do on the ship and the food and service was excellent. We would definitely return.

Too many kids running around, strollers in the hallwaysRECOMMENDED
YesOur waiters, Genaro and Demi were so good! We enjoyed them. Alexander, the head waiter had a great sense of humor and was great also. The food was delicious, but I would appreciate less salt and letting people add the salt they want. I also think that when people park strollers in the hallway or when they end up in front of my door, that it is a hazard especially if we would need to get out quickly. I also think it made it very hard for people with wheelchairs, walkers or canes to get through the hallways! Strollers should be in the owners rooms. There were way too many kids on this cruise, so be careful booking the week of Martin Luther King holiday if you don’t want a lot of kids.

YesEveryone that worked on the Harmony made our vacation something really special. Ryan was our cabin steward and he went above and beyond to be helpful and kind, our wait staff at dinner, Macky, was always there with a smile and was so patient and kind while we were deciding what to eat. My sister and I did the Nations Scavenger Hunt, it was so much fun, but the staff all over the ship was so nice and didn't mind us bothering them. Everyone had a smile on their face when you went by them. The staff worked hard but they were kind while they were doing their jobs. The food was fantastic and the desserts were amazing.

Beautiful Ship, Lots of Activities, Excellent FoodCONS
Too Big and too many people, limited show capacityRECOMMENDED
YesThis was our first experience on an Oasis Class Ship. Overall, it was a great experience as the food was the best I've had on a cruise. The Ship is beautiful and there is always something to do for entertainment. The biggest drawback was the difference between how Shows on board are managed. Because of the size of the boat and number of guests, you must make reservations to see various shows (Musicals, Ice Skating shows, Aqua theater shows). If you are unable to make reservations, you have to wait in "stand-by" lines and hope that you get in. If you make reservations and then are not able to attend because of an unforeseen delay (i.e. dinner running to long/late), you are prohibited from make new reservations for that show unless you are able to cancel the reservations 1 hours ahead of time. We enjoyed our trip, but have determined that the largest class ship we intend to sail on in the future would be a Freedom Class. It seems to be just the right size for us.

Royal has stepped up its MDR and the selection was very good and all entrees came out at the right temperature. This was an issue we had on Oasis a few years ago. The new Italian specialty, Jamie's, is an upgrade over Giovanni's and has a more authentic menu. The waiter was able to combine many dishes in smaller portions so we were able to enjoy more selections. The shows are great but make reservations ahead of time, for example, the theater was filled for Grease 15 minutes after the doors opened.

The entertainment was great with tons to do. The ship is gigantic and fabulous. The state rooms are very comfortable and we loved the virtual balcony. It's a great vacation for families and intergenerational groups. Would definitely recommendCONS
It's all about the ship for us, so the ports of call were less important. But there was not enough time in San Juan (got there 7 am and had to be back on ship at 1:30 pm). The labadee stop we didn't even get off ship for, instead enjoyed all the amenities with hardly anyone there. It is a hectic ship since there are so many passsengers, but Royal Carib does a great job of logistics and it was all manageable. I would thoroughly recommend.RECOMMENDED
YesThe food in the dining room was mediocre the first three nights. Then we switched from the 3rd floor dining room to the 2nd floor dining room and the food was much improved. On such a big ship there are probably multiple cooks and kitchen facilities servicing the dining room. On St. Maartin we went to Philipsburg. It was perfect. We shopped a little then got beach chairs, went swimming, and ate lunch. It was relaxing and great. As said before, not enough time in San Juan. And we didn't even bother to get of the boat in Labadee, which suited us perfectly.

The addition of the water slides made an already enjoyable pool experience even better, and the hot tubs were great, as well as all of the other outdoor activities. Our cabin was very comfortable, and our room attendant Ernesto did an outstanding job of keeping it clean and tending to our needs. The only thing that I was not satisfied with on the ship was the lack of variety at Windjammer, and that the food choices didn't seem to change much from day to day, and what was there was just OK. The food was very good. The ship was beautiful and extremely cared for and clean.CONS
There was no bingo, No guest interactive entertainment at the pool. No buffet out by the pools so you don't have to go indoors to eat.RECOMMENDED
YesIt was great although if I had an extra day or 2 I would have been able to experience all it had to offer. This was my first time vacationing without kids so it was nice and relaxing. We went with friends and that's always a fun time.

YesBeing this was my first time on a cruise, I am beyond pleased with my experience. The most important thing that stood out was the excellent staff on the Royal Caribbean cruise (Harmony of the Sea) every staff member that I came across was polite, helpful, with beautiful spirits, in which I couldn't have asked for anything more. The food was good, drinks was always right o point. Everyone made me feel at home by even remembering my name. Pool bar: Please make sure to thank all the following staff: The 2 Jamaican bartenders at the pool bar. (Only had to tell them 1 time what I like to drink and every day they had it ready before I asked.. Krashtion was 1 of the names Fine Dinning: 5th FLOOR ROY was always good to us and made sure are needs were meet each time Casino: both bartender (1 from the Philinpines 1 from same place) would see me and say hi on a first name base. Never any issues and chatted about are homelands Sorenntio pizza place Nice man from Hondures who would chat and make us special chicken pizza just as if we were home Lastly are room attendant (Marinco) who was one of the most nicest person I've met. Every morning, night, daytime, whenever he was always there. Would help us with anything, kept are room always clean and would make us special animal figures out of out towels. (Monkeys, elephants, etc always where my glasses, which he always help me find) he should truelly be recognized for his work as NOT 1 room attendant did the job like him(we asked around) There were many more as well as the beautiful ship itself, we loved it so much we have already booked are next cruise which on the ship for July 2017 to the Caribbean. 1 downside was the comedy show in which we were looking forward to as It was canceled the who time with not really an explanation as to why. Thank Royal Caribbean for everything
