daily instructions by cruise manager difficult to understand, otherwise no problemsRECOMMENDED
YesJordan was a wonderful, great guide, marvelous and friendly people, and a good itinerary including Petra and the Dead Sea. We felt safe and encourage people to visit the country. Since tourism is down because of the Israeli war, the sites were not crowded--a good time to go Egypt and the Nile cruise were equally wonderful. The guides were knowledgeable, and the people were friendly. Our itinerary included full days, but we felt rushed at the sites. We needed more time at the Pyramids and at Abu Simbel. We wish AMA would offer a night lighting tour of the pyramids as an option. We felt safe wherever we went. Everything was included from arrival to departure--we appreciate that when traveling in areas such as the Middle East. Below, the ratings for entertainment on board were minimal, but then this is a very small ship, and we did not expect much--we had full days of sightseeing. The ratings for activities--not sure what that means. There were a couple of activities on board during sailing, but again, we were happy for downtime between tours. Great food. Good time to go to both locations because tourism is down. This is an expensive tour--everything is first class, including the hotels.

Newly renovated ship; This time of year produced excellent weather (not too hot and some days a little cool); More staff to passenger count (great ratio); Little down time - plenty to see and do; Cruise Manager and Egyptologist with us each day (great knowledge of areaCONS
No problems with staff or ship; Long air flight times going from and coming back to the States; Drink only bottled water, even on board shipRECOMMENDED
YesAn excellent vacation, not cheap but worth the cost given the adventure. I am almost 78 years old and did not have any problems. There were some passengers both older and younger who all seemed to hold up. That’s not to say you should not pace yourself. Whispers are provided for all tours and there were many. Looking back, my wife and I will have found memories. No regrets. I believe the best time for travel in Egypt is in December and February after which time it starts to get hot, real hot. The hotel we stayed in Cairo was the St. Regis. It is a true 5 star hotel and highly recommended.
