We loved the Medallion Suite. The lead-in Verandah suites are also very well designed and more comfortable than most. The Master Suite is a little chopped up, but overall all suites are comfortable. The stabilizers on this ship are terrific. We rarely felt any motion at all.

AUGUST

This was my third Silversea cruise and it lived up to my previous experiences! There are many improvements, that although they seem small, to the cabin that made it so much more functional. The unfailing friendly, cheerful staff are a delight.

AUGUST

First ever Cruise and I will definitely travel again with Silversea. Top notch service, food and cleanliness and overall experience. I am very picky when it comes to where I sleep and I must say, I was very comfortable. Our Butler and Room Attendant did an excellent job ensuring we were taken care of and with cleaning the room.

JUNE

This is a great ship. We can only compare it to the Moon, but we liked the Moon too. The ship is clean and there I a lot of room. You don't feel crowed at all. Best part is you can find a seat at the pool! The spa is very nice on this ship.

APRIL

The best cruise line we have ever experienced. Every need was taken care of. There were so many options for dining, learning, entertainment with countless bars and seating areas. Thanks to our travel agent, Ken Heit, for setting it up and traveling with us.

MARCH

While Carnaval in Rio was great, the excursion management was poor. In another port, the tenders were not well scheduled The food was simply fantastic. All, but 2, were included. The S.A.L.T. dinner was pricey, but was amazing. The Japanese restaurant at night was also a culinary delight. And the included restaurants had wonderful food including some of the best lobster you can find. And each night for “Happy Hour” in La Dolce Vita Lounge, they had wonderful appetizers. The overall service was great and we had a regular suite

FEBRUARY

The included itineraries are not worth taking. It's better to venture out on your own when the itinerary includes loading as many people on buses to all make the same stops. It was not pleasant.

JANUARY

<div>My husband and I stayed in a Classic Veranda Suite (least expensive category) and the stateroom was outstanding with Butler service too. Very large room with a walk-in closet, sitting area, floor to ceiling sliding glass door to balcony, a lovely &quot;Make up&quot; vanity outside the bathroom, TV w/many stations and an I-pad to use, very nice easy to use temperature control for stateroom along with lighting options, and a Huge bathroom with double sinks and large drawers. (largest bathroom &amp; shower that I have ever had on a cruiseship!) :) <strong>Very clean ship - exceptionally clean!</strong> To keep everyone healthy - there is a large sink outside the buffet restaurant where guests can wash their hands thoroughly before entering the buffet, many hand sanitizers throughout the ship, touch-free entrances to the public restrooms and elevators. The elevators have floor to ceiling windows for complete oceanviews and the pool and hot tub also are on the side of the ship - so offer infinity type oceanviews. Spa is very nice - but small w/8 treatment rooms. Only 1 spa shower and only 8 lockers in each dressing room. Steam shower, sauna and soaking pool are all very nice (the sauna has full windows for a full oceanview) Very nice! Overall the sailing from Lima, Peru all the way to Ft.Lauderdale, FL was smooth and quiet. Very comfortable.&nbsp; <strong>We had a great experience with Silversea on the Silver Ray.</strong></div>

DECEMBER

Silversea has really hit a home run with the Ray, it is an impressive and well thought out ship. The size, layout and amenities in the Suites is truly impressive....the bathrooms in particular are so large with drawers to put things in, a large mirror and vanity and great showers. The bedding was comfortable and the lounge area and desk/mini bar plus the balcony was all very spacious and comfortable. The variety of dining was perfect....some required or allowed pre booking, while others you just walked up to, it all worked well overall and we had not issues going to all the restaurants we wanted to. The SALT kitchen and special Chefs dinner at SALT were a must do, the cost is well worth it and it was one of the most memorable parts of our cruise. The SALT concept on the tours was also a highlight, those options really stood out and were again worth the added cost. The open spaces on deck, chairs and lounging areas plus the pool and one outdoor jacuzzi were also very nice...plenty of room and very comfortable. It is always the staff onboard that can make or break a trip and for Silversea they really know how to deliver it all....smiles from all the waiters and the entire staff made us all feel appreciated and valued. The feel of this ship is elegant but not stuffy, the decor is classy but not too much bling...loved it and cant wait to get back onboard!

The new Silver Ray is beautiful beyond words. Food great. Cabins wonderful. Some negatives below.

<div>The new Nova class of Silversea ships is setting a standard for beauty, service and good food. The asymmetric design opens the ship to the sea. There are sea views everywhere, even in the glass elevators that look to the sea. The staff and service are professional and friendly and try very hard to please. Everyone seems so happy in their new environment. They are and should be proud of their new ship!</div>

<div>The brand new Silver Ray has some of the best cabins you&#39;ll find on any ship at sea with spacious bathrooms, even in the lowest category. Butler service in every cabin category, but some staff were as new as the ship, so there were some minor service inconsistencies, but they will gain more experience.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>The food programing was excellent, especially with S.A.L.T. Kitchen, which has two menus, one that rotates daily including the wines based on the port of call, and one regional menu that stays the same for the entire cruise. It was so good&nbsp;to the point you didn&#39;t wish you were eating on shore because they had some of the best interpretations of local dishes and drinks on the menu and at the S.A.L.T. bar.&nbsp;This is not to be confused with the inventive paid regional tasting menu experience at S.A.L.T. Chef&#39;s Table. Our favorite paid dinner was the French menu experience at La Dame and our favorite free dinner experience was Silver Note, which combines tapas style modern cuisine with a live jazz band or pianist and singer in the middle of the room with tables around them. The best lunch was the free Japanese sushi experience at Kaiseki (note it&#39;s a paid experience for dinner). One downside I suspect for many guests is that dining starts at 7pm, so there&#39;s no way to eat early unless you do room service.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>In addition to late dining, all shows started at 10pm, which I think is too late for many people, including us most of the nights when we had such a port-intensive itinerary with many early start times and long tours in the heat. As far as the quality of the shows, they were generally very good for the size.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Overall, I highly recommend the ship for the vast majority of people. Any minor service issues will iron themselves out over time with experience, while the food/drink programming was some of the most inventive I&#39;ve encountered on any ship.</div>

For me, 99% of a good cruise is the staff, and the Siver Ray gets 5 stars! Ship is beautiful everywhere, so 5 stars! Food was excellent most of the time, and when they missed the mark for my personal taste, they changed it! So back to 5 stars! We loved Ester, the singer in Silver Note, so we were there every night, so can't comment on the other entertainment. I peeked at the pool a few times and it was not my scene, but this is a very personal opinion. I have a pool at home and I like a neat and tidy pool area, which is probably not possible on most cruises! This is more of a passenger issue but if Silversea is listening...extra attendants at the pool that act like waiters that straighten up after each napkin (or towel by the pool) is used at every lounge chair would be nice...but that might be asking too much!
