YesGourmet food set in this elegant arena of timeless beauty aboard the VISTA. A very personable but luxurious cruise line. Evening country club attire was not gaudy but more comfortably simple, softly sophisticated, and created a relaxing atmosphere among passengers. Upscale suites--the Oceania in particular, left us breathless and eager to return for another voyage. But the best feature is the low number of passengers, barely a thousand, and endless space to move around, jog on the track, schedule a massage, eat leisurely at restaurants, and find a lounge chair effortlessly. The one-week cruise filled our getaway needs but most of the voyages are two weeks.

Drink serving. Time change. Community bathroom doors stay open to longRECOMMENDED
NoEveryone got confused with telling to do times change day before it had to be. Time for activities on ship were then off by an hour on paper. Missed something we really wanted to go to. Got drink package, won't do that again. NO ONE in pool area asking if we need a drink. Lounge cocktail service slow. Servers were very friendly but ordering and making of drinks took forever. Food was ok. Wait staff at our table were amazing! Room was cleaned very well, our people were very friendly and knew our names, greeted us daily. Community bathroom door stay open to long when you go into the bathrooms, everyone can see in. Comedian was the best!! Didn't care for the rest.

Noise from next stateroom, Terrace Grille, most artwork, Martini’s, disembarkation, excursion in Cabo San LucasRECOMMENDED
YesA nice cruise, but not the best. The biggest complaint was the fact that we could hear people talking in the next stateroom and hear their TV (they called back home to the UK at 5:30 am every day)!! Terrace Grille was disappointing (crowded, bland food, indifferent service). The ship decor leaves me cold - lots of bizarre and boring modern art works, too bright lighting in Martini’s bar. Strange blocked sight lines in Horizons. Really good dinners in the specialty restaurants (especially Toscana) and in the new Pizza venue in Waves. Expensive drinks and even more expensive drink package. Only one excellent shore excursion (Guatemala). Canal Transit was well-narrated. Wonderful bathroom in stateroom. Grand Dining Room was too brightly lit and service was perfunctory. LOVED the service and seating in Barista’s and the Bakery. Lost our port stop in Nicaragua.

YesStunning ship - but internal workings seem a bit suspect. Quality of workmanship, marble in laid bathrooms, mahogany walls in library, glass Artist Loft, talented spa staff, excellent service….. beauty in the details. YES! Only flaw was unexplained 1am fire alarm, and sketchy explanation being called back to port (as if decision to leave was not appropriate). Followed by daily hopes of departure- which days to resolve. Unfortunate, questionable— but did not ruin the other good days.

YesOverall amazing trip! The itinerary was incredible and the ship was beautiful. We had a penthouse suite so we had access to the executive lounge with concierge, which was a great perk! Our concierge, Vedrana, was very helpful and always cheerful. The butler service that came with our cabin selection was lacking. Many days we didn't even see him. Laundry service was a great addition to the 10-day trip. The system of leaving the ship for excursions may have room for improvement, as it was a little cumbersome at times. While the food was good, it was so hyped up that it was not exceptional to me. There were exceptions Tuscana restaurant and Aqua Mar were exceptional to us, Tuscana for all around food and atmosphere. Aqua Mar for the health food Tuna Poke and Avocado Toast, yum! Some of the excursions were sub par at best, especially the ones with stops in Italy on the Amalfi coast. Swimming pool was quite small and lounge chairs limited.RECOMMENDED
YesIn general it was a very nice cruise and quite relaxing. We never really had to wait in line for anything except for the tendering boats. Enjoyed the dining, especially Red Ginger and the Polo Club. The buffet option and the the large dining room outside of the specialty restaurants was great. Sommeliers were very good and knew their wines. Some of the wait staff could use more training, but the majority of the servers were excellent!

NoThe recurring theme during our cruise was "there must be something in the water" Every single staff member we encountered was friendly and willing to help, even if it wasn't their department. We stayed in a B5 French Balcony cabin and it was perfect! Cabin is large and nicely appointed with plenty of storage, especially in the bathroom. Every single restaurant meal was perfect! From flavor to presentation to temperature. My personal favorite was Polo Grill and it is so nice that the specialty restaurants are included without an extra fee. So many choices at both Grand Dining Room and the Specialty restaurants, it was hard to choose. Plenty of options, never got bored of the menus after 12 nights on board.

Food, dining venues, cleanliness of ship, design & decor, and fantastic staff!CONS
Pre-cruise staff failed to adjust to and accommodate passengers’ needs due to pre-boarding location change in Trieste, Italy. We stayed with many other guests at the Hilton Molino Stucky in Venice. On the morning of embarkation, our luggage was randomly loaded into various buses which transported us to the pier in Trieste. Once at the pier location our buses were parked at least a football field away from the embarkation processing center. Here’s the bad part: you had no porters there to help us locate our luggage in the various buses and take them to the processing center. We passengers (many of whom are elderly) had to dig under the buses to locate our bags and carry them to the embarkation center. It was an awful beginning to an otherwise fabulous experience.RECOMMENDED
YesNear the end of the cruise we were ready to take advantage of your on board incentives and book another cruise. When discussing this with the “Future Cruises” director, we were informed that she had no brochures and we need to go online to get any itinerary details and options. We went back to our suite, turned on our iPad, and waited and waited for the Oceania site to download. The speed (or lack of speed) of your ship’s Wi-Fi reminds me of the early days of dial-up phone modems. Needless to say, we will now work with our travel agent to explore our options with itineraries, cruise lines, and sailing dates.

PROS
Newer designed ship, more up-to-date iPhone/iPad charging features in room, easier card access.CONS
Change of docking to be more tenders, affecting tours.RECOMMENDED
NoDue to ship transitioning to more tenders vs pier side, tours were rescheduled to start and end earlier. We had difficulty working with Destinations to change tours. We scheduled our tours early, but only realized departure time changes when onboard. Destinations was not helpful in our needs, and pressured us we still had 2 tours to take to meet our discount. Very confusing what to do if Waitlisted. Good comment, wife and I pleased with our heath visits at Medical.
