We had a category 5 ocean view room on deck 4. Room was rather small, bathroom cramped. Surprisingly efficient closet and storage in the stateroom, although not as efficient for the bathroom, which was narrow shelves high up over the toilet, not convenient. Food seemed to be hit and miss for me. Some mornings the breakfast was perfect, next morning eggs overcooked. Buffets had lots of variety, theme nights and poolside activities were fun and well attended. Daily trivia contests were varied and fun.

I especially availed myself of the many services of the spa: facial, haircut, manicure/pedicure. I have severe spinal arthritis and spinal stenosis and have experienced a lot of pain and weakness. Ani, the acupuncturist was so skilled that my pain and numbness disappeared, and I was able to stand straight for the first time in years. Without those treatments, I could not have done any of the excursions. I am now following up with a Chinese acupuncturist in Champaign. Nelson, my cabin steward was so helpful. When I needed to pack the many jars and tubes of oils and salves from the spa, he procured a roll of bubble wrap, tape, and a scissors.

We have traveled on all four ships and they are identical, so you know your way around the ship. Passengers are well traveled and friendly. All staff from deck hands to officers are friendly and greet you with a smile, they seem to be happy working for Azamara.

Incredible journey. Some changes due to safety issues in the area Sea and Suez Canal resulting in a repositioning cruise around South Africa. The end result was the most remarkable, interesting and fun cruise I have ever been on. Azamara really pulled out all the stops to make this special and it was with about 150 passengers and 400 crew.

It always seemed like we never had the full story about restaurant times, activities, excursions and what they included or did not include, last minute changes to excursions. Even the daily activity handout had numerous errors and misleading information. Overall, communication needs a lot of improvement.

The Onward is a beautiful ship and was such a good fit for our traveling style. We were made to feel very special everywhere we went because Onwards’ crew was amazing. The size of the ship was wonderful. Not too big and not too small

<div>More time in each port make Azamara itineraries very desirable. Because of the distance to the Canary Islands and the cost of air travel, it makes the 7 day cruise not very cost effective unless combined with a pre and/or post travel experience in that area of the world. The cabins are smaller than other cruiselines but the ship only holds 684 pax. which provides a comfortable, uncrowded feeling. Highly suggest booking specialty restaurants ahead of time rather than waiting to book once aboard the ship, since if the ship is full, the specialty restaurants are frequently unavailable, due to their small seating capacity. The timing of the excursion is important because during the 3 hour siesta time right after lunch, many tourist sites and facilities are closed. The food and staff were excellent. </div>

This was our 11th voyage with Azamara and we have sailed on all 4 ships. Service is great. You see the officers on deck and are willing to talk with the passengers. The staff and crew are friendly and happy. Everyone goes out their way to make sure that each passenger has the best cruise possible. The White Night parties are a blast, delicious food served by the officers on the pool deck, the Amazing evenings feature local talent and also fun. The staff makes sure that everyone can attend and have in the past assigned a crew member to help those with mobility problems.

Love small ship atmosphere, the crew were always smiling and greeting guests, they do not EVER nickel and dime you to death like bigger cruise ships. And no cheesy photos. It costs a bit more up front, but it’s so worth it.
